Making spare keys

Has anyone had any spare keys made and programmed by a locksmith as opposed to a Nissan dealer?

I have noticed in the Yellow pages there are locksmiths who claim to be able to make and program security keys.

I'm sure if they say they can do it, than they probably can. Besides, if it doesn't work, then simply don't purchase the key.

By the way, I see you're from Houston. Why don't you go over to the regional section and check out all of the info on our newspaper write up this Sunday concerning our last meet. We will also be meeting again on July 17th. It would be great to have you there.

Take it from a locksmith. Yes, we can do it! We make Titan keys and other transponder keys on a daily basis at my shop. The cost is usually less than the dealer charges, and for the Titan you will get an original Nissan key blank. They are the only blanks available for the newer NATS systems so far. And as stated, if your locksmith's key doesn't start the truck, don't pay for it. Good luck.

P.S. I have made a spare key for my Titan, and it works perfectly!
