$35.00 no-tilitrac system

Went to home depot today and had a brainstorm. I threw this together with 3 in PVC pipe. It's a good light duty rack for Kayaks, Canoes & maybe a sleeping enclosure while camping. It brakes-down easy for storage too. Not the most stylish. But not bad for 35.00 bucks.

Looks good. By the way....how's the satelitte reception in your garage? Does the water heater boost the signal?

Looking forward to your mount point pictures as well. Do you
think this will hold up a 70lb canoe?

Here are the pic's of the mount points. Some of the cut's aren't very good so I will re-do some of them.

That's pretty ingenious. I bet you could adapt that design with a shorter version on the height to keep a pair of bycycles upright in the bed

That's great! Your inginuity and the functionality of the rack are both awesome. Great job!

Material spec

What grade of PVC pipe did you use? The top grade costs more, but should carry a heavy load.

I agree it would be better if the pipe was thicker. I just picked up the standard out door irrigation pipe from home depot, but I feel confident it will hold a kayak or canoe on each side it is pretty sturdy. I'm in the middle of a re-design that will have a lower profile and follow the contours of the truck better.
