Can you mount Crew Cab Factory Steps on a King Cab

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and how it looked. I know they are longer but with the wheelbase being the same I was wondering if it would work? I like the look of the factory bars but would like a step into the bed.

I don't think the mounting holes or posts would line up, but I haven't tried. If you are committed enough to make it work, I'm sure you can do it with some drilling.

I've seen wheel-to-wheel steps on ebay. Is that an option that you would consider? Similar to these, but for a Titan. I couldn't find ones for sale right now for a Titan, but didn't do a real thorough search either.

And the factory steps for the king cab do extend a little behind the rear door. It's just enough for me to be able to reach stuff in the front corners of the bed.

I like the straight look of the factory steps better than the curved nerf bars. I have seen more used crew cab steps for sale at better prices than king cab so I thought if they would work it would be a double gain (price and function).
