I found some pretty decent towing mirrors from Autozone. The company is CIPA and here are some pictures. They are $30 a piece or $60/pair. Not bad as they fit pretty good and look pretty good also.
The only downside is that the do shake a bit, but what can you expect from something just strapped on. **EDIT** I did reposition them and tightened them more, the shake has been drastically reduced to more of a minor vibration now.
They have different size clips and they rachet tight with the knob on the side. To take off, pull the knob out and they loosen. There are 3 feet in a triangle to set on the back of the mirror. The center foot is fixed while the other 2 are adjustable with a lock nut.
Try some duct tape...should reduce the shaking and it looks "pretty good" also. Sorry, something about strap on mirrors on a Titan just doesn't seem right.

If you want to pull a trailer legally, you MUST have tow mirrors.
These were by far the best I could find to fit the Titan's standard mirrors unless you want the gawdy chrome mirrors that pressure fit to your fender, where the hood holds them on. NO ThANK YOU, I'll take something that doesn't scratch the paint and looks good.
Why not just install a set of the factory tow mirrors?? They look pretty good, extend when you need them to and appear fairly simple to install.
BTW not sure where you get the "it is illegal to tow without tow mirrors" thing. It must just be an Illinois law, that or no other state enforces it. CT, VT, NH, and MA have no such law I'm aware of and unless you are towing a travel trailer, fifth wheel or a huge boat they are overkill.

To have the Nissan tow mirrors, that replace the original mirrors, will be at least $300 then labor to install them. That's a little excessive. $60 for a set of mirrors that will be used occasionally is much better. If I used the Titan to tow all the time as if I had a lawnscaping business, then $300 -$400 would seem acceptable.
It is federal law that you must see to the end of the trailer. With the standard mirrors, I see down the side but not the rear corner of the trailer, which is illegal and unsafe. I drove the camper home with only the standard mirrors and didn't feel comfortable at all, as I couldn't see what was happening at the rear of the camper. Since I've drove construction big rigs pulling payloaders, trenchers, and backhoes, I only feel comfortable when I can see what I'm pulling. If you need to make a change of lanes, you can't see how much room you have from the rear of the trailer to the front of the car in the passing lane. Boy, they'd be pissed if I clipped the front of their vehicle and I'd be ticketed for not obeying towing laws.
Mike Up,
Appoligies for the duct tape comment but I just couldn't resisit. You're right on with safety being your main concern. It's critical knowing what's behind you and being able to judge closing speed of vehicles that are behind you not to mention being able to see small vehicles that tend to cruse in your blind spot.
Those ratchet on mirrors sure beat the big ol chrome mirrors dear ol dad straped to the Plymouth wagon when I was a kid. I'd still carry a roll of duct tape though...just in case.
Here's my opinion on the big tow mirrors...they are great when towing but are terrible for every day driving, not for seeing what's behind you but for what you can't see in front of you, especially at intersections. With the wide window piller and the big mirrors at eye level, it makes for a fairly large blind spot. This is hard to say ( It's a pride thing now that I drive a Titan and not a F150) but Nissan needs to take a lesson from Ford and lower the mirrors so you can see over them. I expressed this concern to Nissan when I got the factory courtesy call shortly after my purchase, gal on other end of call said it was a common complaint. It will be interesting to see if they respond with a different mirror set up in up that allowes better forward visibility.

No problem, I knew you were just joking.
The big tow option wasn't even an option on my truck as it's an XE. If it were, I'd have it but going up to the SE was at least $1500 for luxury items I didn't want to pay for (I have all the basic power options), plus I may have not been able to get as good of a discount since this was the year end and they didn't have any SEs with only the $1500 in options added. They only had 2WDs or 4X4 w/o Off-Road or were fully loaded with DVD and navigator. The CC XE 4X4 Off Road was optioned the best for my wants.
I still have higher load rated tires and lower gearing thanks to the Off-Road option. The only thing I don't have that the big tow does, is that transmission temp gauge and the tow mirrors.

This is the story of my life, finally someone makes a vehicle for us taller people (6'6" here) and you vertically challenged people try to take it away. I am sick of not fitting in any vehicle, having lumbar support accross my *** crack, having headreasts that only go up half my head. Those big tow mirrors are the best thing ever, they are high enough that I can see out them and don't have to duck down.
Now if nissan could just peel back some of the roof so I can see stoplights when I am at an intersection that would be great.
