I just order an Advance cover www.advancecover.com reason I settle with this one is the convience off flipping it open or removing all together for use of bed. I really like the fiberglass paint to match but know one day I will need a bed to hual something big. Depends on your need I guess.

I purchased a Truxedo Lo Pro. Installation took about 20 minutes tops. I like the fact that the bows roll up with the cover. I thought about a hard cover, but I didn't want to deal with taking it off and on again.

I got the Advance cover too. I got it for the same reason Baseballfanz did. I keep in on, but can fold it to fit something in, or if it is really in the way, (out somewhere when the wife decides she "really needs to get this") and I just pop it off, and fold it up in the bed, and can use the entire bed without having had to plan ahead of time and take it off.

I wanted a "hard top" but not a fiberglass one. So, I decided on the "cheap" undercover design. I decide that and find out that it is not made yet for the Titan King Cab, only the crew cab!!! So, I ordered one from a company called Lazer Lite ( http://www.lazerlitecovers.com/ ). Well, it came in today ... box had a few holes knocked in it ... inside cover scratched a VERY small amount, and one lil scratch on the top side ... its black powder coated so no big deal I thought. I really need this thing for a 4th of July week vacation to pensacola florida. Well, on my order I SPECIFICALLY ordered the cover for NO UTILI-TRAC system (which is $100.00 more btw). Low and behold, what was shipped to me? The cover FOR a UTILI-TRAC system!!!!! I left an email AND voicemail to the company this afternoon. What to do? I'm hoping they will offer to overnight the "non utili-trac" cover hardware but that remains to be scene. Maybe I'm the dumb one for ordering a large cover over the net. I DO like the cover (lil heavier than I thought it would be) and hope to get it installed asap. Anywho, any thoughts or sugguestions would be appreciated. Wish me luck!

I concur, Truxedo is a great cover. Its the only cover I have experience with though.

Just an undate. I received the following e-mail this morning in response to my cover:

Hi David!

The brackets for the "Non-utilitrac" always ship in a separate box. They are supposed to arrive to you before the tonneau cover itself, since they are shipped UPS. Apparently, that extra box was not shipped out right away.

I personally went to UPS this morning with the box and it was sent overnight UPS to you and it will be there no later than 10:30 AM tomorrow morning.

I hope this helps you out!
If you have any other questions, let me know.

Scott

Well, will keep the message board posted. So far, I am impressed with the cover ... laying against my sofa in my living room anyway ... will know more of how I feel once it's installed. Oh, and my Westin nerf bars came in today. My wife is about to have a FIT with the stuff I'm doing to this truck (Flowmaster should be here by the end of the week! Then I'll see the real "women's negative side come out I'm sure). Life is good!

I love my ARE tonneau. It looks great on the truck, is very secure and pretty much waterproof. It does take two people to lift it on and off and is a pain to store, but I have only needed to take it off twice. It takes about 5 minutes with an electric screwdriver and allen head bit. It's not the answer if you regularly need to transport large/tall items, but if you don't, its great.

Retrax

I have a Retrax and LOVE IT...A little pricey, but for my needs (watertight, lockable, rolls up out of the way) it is PERFECT...

I got a Truxedo LO Pro from truckmod.com and think it's the best cover I've had/seen (my friends and I all had F150/250 trucks, now just my friends have the F150/250).

It's easy to install - took me almost an hour as I had my 3 year old "helping" me, plus I had to take it back off after to put the utili-track tie downs on (Word of advice - you can NOT put the tie downs on/off with the truxedo rail in place, there is not enough room to rotate the tie down 90 degrees to get it on/off). Even with that minor inconvience - the tie down, not my 3 year old : ) I think it was an easy install and would not hesitate to get another one.

I was skeptical at first about velcro, but saw that a number of other companies are using them as well. The last cover I had was a J-Channel setup (Ford OEM cover) and thought that was easy to seal, but the rigid piece on the cover that slipped into the J-Channel made it hard to roll up. Now that I've seen the velcro setup - I will never go back. It's fast and easy to roll up and on. I hate snaps - I've seen several covers where they ripped or are almost impossible to install during the winter.

I also really like the fact that you can't release the cover if the tailgate is locked.

If you do get one, I highly recommend truckmod.com as well. I sent them an email showing that I can get a new Lo Pro with UtiliTrack for under $340 shipped off of Ebay stores, and they beat the price ($335 shipped!!!) as well as gave me a great deal on a husky linner for the rear floor (everything was under $360 shipped!!)

The customer service was great too!! They were very prompt with their email and proffessional in their responses. I'm looking to get a set of step bars from them next!

The only Truxedo for sale for the Titan CC on e-bay was from TruckMod.com. $366 + shipping. Better than other web sites but no where near the $340 price you saw. Do you still have a link to that auction?

Nevermind - I found some that were not vehicle specific until check-out...

Glad you found it - on ebay just search on Truxedo All will come up with the auction listings. You can see, by the completed auctions, that the majority end at the opening bid. I didn't order it through that ebay seller due to their slow shipping feedback.

I got mine through truckmod.com and their shipping was fast (4 days!). and service was great!!!
