05 Brakes warping at 5,000 miles

Anyone else had this problem? What are the dealers saying about it?

What are your build dates? The early 05's didn't get the new brakes either...

Where can you find your build date on the truck?

Look on the sticker on the driver's side door jamb. The top line has month and year of build.

Also, if you still have your window sitcker, the exact date is on there on the bottom right crypted in the string of numbers. Look for 2004MMDD or 2005MMDD (MMDD being month and day - mine was 20050118)

People have also said that they have found stickers all over the vehicle with the date on them including in the back seat pocket, drive shaft, behind the grill and scrolled in chalk on the floor of the passenger side under the carpet.

Eh. Everyone has this problem that was built before March or so this year. Dealers should have new parts in stock for the upgrade/replacement. Biggest gripe and hundreds of posts about it.
At the top, you'll see something called SEARCH.

My built date is 04/05, in a way I'm hoping I got the new brake but wouldn't mind letting the dealer replace it in a year or so. Just don't want to bring it in every 3-5 thousand miles, waste of times.

They hit the dealers with the new parts in mid May. They showed up on the assembly line before that but not much before. You may or may not have the new stuff. If you don't and you have problems, you will get it anyway so don't worry about it.

Mine was built on 04/05. I have about 1900 miles on mine and I'm starting to notice that the steering wheel shakes when stopping.

So will the dealer give me the upgrade for free or will they make me pay for it?
