Its mostly for looks.
Pros:
-You can mount lights
-If you drive through "brush" it will push it out of the way so you don't break your grill or headlights. Sides will be scratched though.
Cons:
-It weighs a lot and hurts wind resistence=hurts mileage
-Like all brush guards, its a liability in an accident. When you hit someone with any force, it bends back denting your hood and lights, so even if it would have been only a bumper cover replacement, you now need a hood and lights, maybe a grille also.
I'm waiting for a steel winch bumper with integrated guard. Road Armor is working on one right now.
Go to www.roadarmor.com and look at the Toyota Tundra one. They show on the price list that the same style is coming soon for Armada Titan. Cost twice as much, but now you're front end is a tank.
