Spray In or Drop In Bedliner??

Ok well my Titan came with the drop in liner, but I am considering going to the spray in. Can you give me your opinions on which you prefer and why?

I definately go with the spray in. Every drop in I've ever seen has lead to worn off paint and rusting. Plus the little channels in a drop in liner make it a pain in the butt to clean them out if you just hauled gravel, dirt, bark, etc.

I went with spray in. Easier to maintain, better looking, and non-slip.

Spray in versus Drop In

Spray In Spray In Spray In.

If you go with aftermarket, I'd recommend Rhino liner. They spray it on thick and get the the tailgate done as well.

I can't tell you how many times I slipped on a wet drop in while I was hauling things....

I've had my spray in Line-X for a year and I'm very happy with it.

I have to throw my hat in the ring too - definitely spray in. The drop in doesn't protect anything - ever see a truck that had a drop in with the drop in removed? My 2000 Tundra had rust spots where the drop in liner rubbed, and God forbid I opened the rear slider and drove down a bumpy road - it rattled like made too. Then of course, you have the slippery sliddy stuff that is only works when you don't want it to.

Thanks for the responses...I figured this would be the general response. I got a price of $495.00 on the Line-X...anybody see lower prices?

Spray-in. Line-X for a year and I'm happy with it. I got it for $425 I think. Found a coupon online that took $25 off the price, but it was hard to find. The truck came with a drop-in and I sold that to someone else on this site.

I personally don't care that the drop-in rubs on the bed and may create rust - it's not going to rust all the way through the bed, IMO. Maybe I'd think differently if I lived in a different part of the country (rust belt). Just don't remove the drop-in and all will be well. So the drop-ins are more just for aesthetic protection and that's fine as long as you know that. But the drop-ins that I've had let stuff slide around too much for me and I like how stuff stays put on the Line-X surface. The first time your toolbox slides around and dumps everything out, you'll wish you'd had a spray in. But it is expensive, so there's always a compromise there.

Spray in your own. I herculined my jeep took a weekend taping and prep a truck bed would be easier comes out killer. I sprayed mine in witha $6 undercoating gun from harbor freight Best thing I ever did to the Jeep and it justified the purchase of an air compressor for the wife when she saw how much it cost to have done ($500+ for a Jeep)

Spray in most definitely. Better protection plus the things you have in the bed do not slide.

Impressive job!

Nice way to get a compressor out of the deal too!

Spray in. My last truck had a lot of rust along the tailgate portion of the bottom of the bed and that was probably after 5 years. I'm not that close to the beach either.
