Grill install help

I am looking at grills by a company called "grill4u". They have 2 different ones for the Titan. One is a "bolt-over" which goes directly over the stock grill (easy install). They also have a 3 piece "replacement grill" whickh means that the stock black "honeycomb grill sections need to come out.

I like the look of the replacement grill better because I don't like how with some billet grills, you can see the stock grill through it when looking at it from certain angles.

My question is how hard is the install on a "replacement grill"??

Provided it fits ok, you'll probably spend more time trying to figure out how to get the original grill off. No one has probably bought the replacement grill yet.

Generally speaking, you have to cut out the black plastic diamonds in the stock grill. It's not hard, just very intimidating.

Do some searches here, many people have cut out the original grill to install aftermarket grills.

Oh..I thought the black diamond sections just snapped out or something. I really dont want to cut them out....maybe the bolt-over grill is the way to go after all??

Penrose,

I have the bolt on grill from grille4u. I have to say that I am very pleased with it. You have to be very close to the truck and looking very hard to notice the factory diamonds behind it. One thing I will say is the instructions they send with the grille suck. The grille itself however is a quality piece of work!!! I have had many positive comments from people about the grille. And they are right, if you want to remove the diamonds but keep the rest of the grille, you have to cut it. I don't have any pics, or I would post them for you to see. Maybe I can talk the wife into a new camera! Good luck with your choice.

Great...Thanks, BLK. Some pics would be great too. Did you get it on ebay? and how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking.

Also, did you get the lower bumper grill to go with it or did you just get the 3-pieces for the top?

I got them from their website actually. The price of the grille was very reasonable, but the $65 shipping was, in my opinion a little steep. I got the three piece for the top and the lower one as well, they work really well together and the lower one helps protect the electric fan. Install is really easy. The wife is allowing the camera purchase, so I should be able to have pictures soon.

I have a grill4u grille and I love it great stuff. The directions blew *** though and I didnt get the right hardware. But the grille itself is awesome. Their shipping is so high to make up for their extremely low price, a great deal for stainless though. - chris
