For those with the Volant.

Who has recharged their airfilter? How many dollars are needed, and how do you do it? What is the recommended service interval? THNX!

Recharging KN air filter

The recharging kit costs about $10. Kit contains a cleaner/degreaser and then the oil.

You can pick them up up Advance Auto, Pep Boys, Autozone...

http://www.thepartssource.com/kn_air...il_filters.htm

Recharge according to you driving.

Dustier/hotter = more

I charge mine every three months. (every oil change)

I don't think you are supposed to use the K&N oil with the Volant. I could be wrong, but I have read that the K&N oil has a different viscosity than the the Volant oil and K&N's oil has been known to mess up some MAF sensor.

I have a Volant and am getting ready to recharge mine for the first time also. I was going to go to the Volant webpage and go from there to see where I can get the Volant charger kit (NOT K&N)

Definitely use Volant's oil. K&N's oil is heavier than Volant's and can using it will deteriorate the Volant blue filter.
