Where did you buy your cover? How much? How does it perform on the highway? Any rattles or added noise? Think this would improve gas mileage?

thanks

Yo Jolly, you are killin' me here...

I'm in almost constant communication with Mark Kidder at VersaCover asking WHEN THE HECK are they going to finish up the development work on the King Cab version. The Undercover is the only cover for my money and the wait is so frustrating.

Outstanding cover. Thanks for the pics of the hardware. The whole idea that this thing uses the Utility Track system is just so ingeniously simple.

Friends of mine have the Undercover and let me tell ya, with very little care that thing will look as good in 5 years as it does today. You might want to look into getting some 303. I'm not sure where you can find it, in Canada they sell it in Crappy Tire, here in the states I've only had luck trying marinas. The 303 in sort of like an Armorall, but it contains very strong UV protection, and the plastic cover should appreciate that.

i picked up 303 from my local outdoors store... had them in the kayak etc dept. Both Campor, and Eastern Mountain Sports by me carry it. Not sure how large they are as far as chains go.

Otherwise, check out your local boating store, like Quad mentioned.

Anyone have experience with a retractable cover? I'm 95% set on the undercover, just cant take the plunge!

Go undercover. It's cheaper than the retrax and the undercover is pretty darn durable (IMO).

Is the hardware extra for the Titan utilitrack?

I ordered a undercover today for my cc Titan. I got a good deal on the cover, I think ($589.00)
The guy told me the kit to fit the Titan Utilitrack would be extra. He said the kit would $110.00. After looking at what the brackets look like for the undercover, I'm thinking, I'm getting screwed here.
$589.00 plus $110.00 for the kit = $699.00 plus tax $750.00 total. And this is not installed, I was going to do this myself.

What do you guys think? Should the kit already come with the right hardware to fit the type of truck it is made for? Looking at the pictures in this post, they should be more like $20 bucks or so, not a $110.00.

I'm curious about this too....

Hey Jollysammy,
Was your utilitrack hardware extra and if so, was it a $110???

The hardware for the utilitrac is 79.99 plus shipping from versacover.com

cover for titan w/o utilitrac is 599
cover for titan w/ utilitrac is 679, with the hardware needed to mount

hardware for utilitrac is 79.99

all these prices are for a crewcab, as they dont have the king cab model out yet.

they also have a special on shipping, of $68 to any business address. So a total of 747 for the utilitrac model, shipped.

Looks to me as if its the same as you buying locally.
Ofcoarse the plus side for you is that you got the goods on the spot, and have a local place to go back to if you have any problems.

Puv
