Does anybody have a RETRAX cover AND a TracRac Rack System?

I am interested in getting a Retrax bed cover for my LE CC with Utilitrack along with a TracRac overhead rack system. I have done some reasearch and found that that each of these aftermarket systems will work with the Nissan Titan, but am wondering if they will work together on the same vehicle and to what degree of functionality.

So if you've got a Retrax AND a TracRac, I'd sure like to hear your experiences with how well (or how poorly) these two products work together, in particular in concert with the Utilitrack system. The essential problem I see is that both systems need to be affixed to the bedrails and I wonder to what degree they compete with the same real estate for proper installation and use.

Tomorrow I plan to call each of the manufacturers, but I'd much rather hear from Titan owners!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, tips, suggestions, or ideas,

Mark

Thumbs up

If you have a Retrax cover I would like to know if its noisy or rattles when your up to speed.

On that note: Does anybody know where I can get a deal on the Retrax cover. It looks like the best for my Titon? I have found a couple but the cost is over $950...

I have a Retrax cover and it doesn't make any noise while driving.I want a over head rack system ,but never looked into it because i can't see how the two could work together.

I agree, don't see how they could work together.

On second thought...I don't know. How does that sliding thing attach? Does it use the bed rail holes? Does the track cover the whoe width of the side? It might be possible, but I'd need some more info as to how it attaches. You definately would not be able to use that toolbox sliding thing though...only the overhead attachment might be do-able.

Well, I wish there were more encouraging news so far.

I'm going nuts without a lumber rack right now. I had one on my Tacoma but temporarily gone are the days when I could load up my truck with 16' stock and go to town.

We're taking the Titan on a long road trip this December and I'm weighing earmarking that rack $$$ for a good bedcover like the Retrax--but I know I'd get more use out of that rack.

Thanks for the tips!

Mark

I found some cool pictures of it here working with the track: http://www.rolltopcover.com/customerphotos-nissan.htm

Also you can pay and extra $25 and they will cut out the holes so you can put a ladder rack on.

Now all we have to do is find a deal ;-)

Found a GREAT price but ends Monday

I found a great price on the Retrax but I am not sure If I should post here.

The price is $775.00 with free shipping with lock cover and gate gasket. The best I have seen is $820.00 + shipping and the lock cover and gasket are extra as well.

If you want in on the same deal PM me and I will let you know where I found it. Deal ends 8/15 I think.

Re: Does anybody have a RETRAX cover AND a TracRac Rack System?

Folks,

I was going to purchase a Titan but opted for a Tundra...but thats another story...anyway just wanted to chime in and help you guys out...I am a moderator over at tundrasolutions.com and myself and several other members do indeed have the RETRAX AND TRACRAC installed on our trucks....they do work together....the Retrax is attached to the bed rails with C-clamps and the TRACRAC rails are attached via expansion blocks into the stake pockets....thus if you have the RETRAX you can sneak the expansion block bolt around the RETRAX rail or drill a 3/8" hole in the retrax rail to attach the TRACRAC rails....there are several pics on our website showing these two systems working together....SO IT IS POSSIBLE....

you can get great deals on Retrax from ED at www.truckgadgets.com ....he has run several group buys for us with awesome prices....the lowest you can find (~$750 which includes shipping!!!)
