Advancecover lock problem

I got the advancecover for my Titan truck. It went on fine but the back lock does not turn all the way to pull out the key when locking. Seems like the latch is too long for it to turn fully. Maybe the front and back locks are not the same and I got one that is messed up?

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Please someone unban my home IP address

Had the same problem. Flip up the lid, and verify the linkages aren't sticking and everything else seems to be operating freely Put the key in the lock and give it a turn while looking at where the lock meets the latch mechanism. If it can't turn, it may need a small notch, but only if the latch mechanism hasn't stuck. Then you may need to do the following:

Take a Dremel and CAREFULLY grind a small notch into where the lock mechanism meets the latch. ONLY do enough so that it clears when you turn the lock. You'll find that once it clears it's a nice snug fit.

I can't say enough, only take a little at a time and try it, repeating until the lock finally turns fully.

Hope this makes sense.

All the latches are fully out in the close mode and here is the pic of the problem.

Guess I have some cutting to do.

Maybe loosing up where the latch actually goes under the tab. Should be enough room maybe 1/16 gap for the latch to move freely. Same thing happend to me at first till I loosen up that tab a bit.
