Fog light suggestions?

has anyone out there found/using something other than the stock fog lights? I am looking for something that will fit into the fog light holes in the bumper. I always find out after the fact that my truck is not wired for lights so I will have to find something different and fab up my own mounts. Any thoughts other than the cheapy lights that I see on EBAY. Or is anyone using those lights and is my impression not what it should be?

You can also find the billet style grill inserts on ebay for them now.

DESTRO, perform a search - there are multiple threads addressing this subject. I have installed the factory Nissan fog lamps in my XE which was not pre-wired. I went to NAPA and bought connectors to connect to the back of the lights, placed a switch in one of the blank switch spots to the bottom left of the dash, wired 'em up and good to go. Like Seerex said - I have heard that Nissan is now selling a harness kit which was not available several months ago when I did mine. Good luck.

Hella makes some round ones that fit perfect. But you have to do somed drilling and cutting to get them to mount.

Heres a link to somone who gave me the idea.
Pictures of my Titan with the goodies

The wattage is 55w and I get flashed all the time for having them on. Maybe I need to reaim them but I definitely notice the increased light output. Plus its a whole lot cheaper then the factory setup.

Cool Thanks for the info questions to follow

Thanks for the info these look like they will do the job. When you mounted yours did you cut the holes like the thread talked about? If you did do you have any pis of how you did it? Another question would be how long have you had these lights and do you use them often. I ask this because I had some dual beam Optilux on a Ford I owned and these burned off the reflectors twice before I just gave up. Thanks

yeah, good info. The only issue with me I got have amber lenses. That is the only light frequency that really works in bad weather and fog and that is what I want them for. Hella is a pretty good designer though and I bet they have them somewhere.

found'm--hella makes yellow/amber H-3 bulbs that you can put in to give true foglights. piaa has them too as well as others.

Yea, I had to be a little creative when mounting them. I would say having a dremel is essential as a pwerdrill is way too big to get in there. I had to cut out holes on the sides of the foglight tunnel so I could get access to the adjustment nuts. I didnt get too anal about it cuz its totally hidden.
