Tint

If you are having a dealer install the tinting, you may be limited to what your state allows, if in fact your state does have a law regarding this issue.

Here in Washington, they would only install 30% on the front windows. Now if you install your own, you can install whatever you like, just be aware of the possibility of a ticket.

I am going to retint the rear factory glass to about 10% and my fronts to 15% or so. Not legal but that does not bother me.

Remember that your tint will get scratched unless you get a felt strip installed to protect it since Nissan saved $.03 per vehicle by not installing it.

In Colo you can go 20% max on tint, which is good because that's what I had my fronts tinted to, and it matches the factory rear tint perfect. I didn't install any felt strips and have no scratches (so far) on my fronts.

I have 20% tint on my front windows and left the rest alone, seems to match the back ones perfect. Legal is 35% in Ct. My tint is getting scratched though, I also would be interested in this felt strip and where I can get it before my windows get worse.

15% may look great but your risking being able to see out at night. Not other cars but pedestrians.

I am well aware of the risks, and have done it other vehicles I ahve owned. When its 115 outside really dark tint is worth it.

I'm in Buckeye visiting and this place is too hot for my taste. It helped a lot when I got the front windshield tinted to 55%. You can barely tell it's tinted but cut down on the heat. The front really gets hot due to the dashboard get all that uv rays.
