I have never understood why carbon fiber is suppose to be so damn cool? Kids drive around with their little rices and have everthing carbon fibered on their cars. Are you just not cool if you dont have it or what? Does it add like 50 more horses or something? To me carbon fiber has about the exact same effect as a front wheel drive car with a wing the size of Oprah Winfrey's a$$ on the back of it.

Well..I think that yea there is probably a certain % of people who think it is just cool to have it. I personally like it /c of the looks and the fact that is is weight saving.

Supposedly you are loosing weight, which allows you to go faster. If you have a little 4-banger, 50 lbs can make a difference. Every 100 lbs you loose = about 15 hp. Not much difference on a 5000 lbs truck, but signifigant on a 2500 lbs rice rocket. Still, I'd paint it if I put one on so you couldn't tell. Similar theory to removing the back seat and adding a fiberglass or aluminum front end parts on the old muscle cars.

The rice boys put on a 20 pound lighter hood, then add 400 pounds of stereo crap, Playstations, body cladding and wings. The hood is bringing the mighty 4 banger Civic from a 18.1 ET back into the 17's (17.9 7/8).

Thats why real racers know what to do with the CF, and the posers look for the show aspect of it.

Here is something positive! I agree with "TIMBA" also. Some dummy jumped on the hood of my kids honda at school. $1,200 to replace oem and Try and match red paint. We did a little homework and put on a real nice carbon for $650! The perp payed for it. It was well made and fit great, went on real easy, does not rattle, super light, still looks good 2yrs later. Carbon Fiber is great if used in the right way. We have 2 AEGIS 1 piece molded carbon bicycles-awesome. Make me a shaker hood to go with this great engine!

no it should be full carbon but when you do a two tone paint scheme on the carbon like that your acutally painting then re clearing over an exsistning clear coat so it gives it the slight look of a lip or edge in photos

You'd think they would take a little time to find out what Titan owners would like rather than stealing the design of a Mugen Type-R Akimoto SiR (ok I know that doesn't exist I was a Honda owner at one time..).

I think a cowl would've gone over much better but if the vent is open at least it's providing some cooling to the manifold. Ugh.

Another fine example of a company that thinks that if it's got carbon fiber, it's going to sell. They probably have a line of carbon fiber sun visors, carbon fiber cup holders, and carbon fiber lug nuts to complete the line-up.
