My new fog lights.

What do you guys think of my new fogs? I think they look pretty good. They are APC I picked them up for $39.99 at Advance Auto. In true APC fashion they are crap but they bolted right up to the stock cup with no cutting or drilling. Just a couple of spacers on the mounts they came with. I am running them off a stock fog light stalk that was given to me by a very gracious member of TT. Just got them installed so I have no idea how bright they are or if they are even remotely lined up. Can't wait til tonight.

They look pretty good.

That's going to be my next purchase-fog lights. I really like the OEM fog lights, so those would work. Now to find someone to give me a stalk...

Funny part is the kit with lights and stalk is like $150. I fugured once I had the stalk the lights themselves wouldn't be too bad but they are over $100 a light without the stalk. That is why I went aftermarket. Whole thing cost me $45.

Now the question is How well do they work? And jow long it that bulb going to last? They do look nice sitting in the origional hole like that. I went with the OEM because I was to afraid of having problems with after market ones. Good luck with those. I am sure alot of members want to know how they turn out.

I installed them myself. They work fine at night. Not an awesome amount of light but probably as good as stock or better. They fit nicely in the stock holes. Being made by APC the bulbs will probably last 6 months or less but when they go I will just replace them with Silverstar bulbs.

Not to hork this thread, but I have a question for those with the factory fogs: How are they? Is the beam pattern useful, or way too low like on a ford? Are they bright enough?

I have a set of the PIAA 510 driving lights I can use to fill the holes, but I'd rather have a fog pattern down there and use the factory wiring on my SE. I plan on a set of HID lowbeams eventually, but it'll be a year or so.

Thanks,

Mitch

mitch,
i have found that the factory fogs work pretty well. i was driving at night in some rain and felt like i could not see anything and then i realized that my fogs were turned off. turned them on and it really helped w/ lighting up the center and side line along w/ cutting out the haze right in front of the TITAN. im sure that some aftermarket ones would do better but these are more than satisfactory.

Thanks,
I really like the OEM fogs, They complete the lighting pattern very well and there is a major difference between having them on and not. I have the silverstars on the main lights and I will be getting the silverstars on the fogs to as soon as my walmart gets them in. That should be a big improvement as well. The OEM fogs were very easy to install to. (plug and play) about 30 min. taking my time to do it right. I paid $169.00 for mine. Well worth it if you dont like the black holes in the front. Good luck !!

Well the ones I used are 55w compared to 37w of the OEM's. So I would imagine mine are a good deal brighter.
