I have hooked up my rear back up lights to the back up at the trailer harness.

Currently, I have it activated anytime I back up however I just bought a switch and will install it so that I can run it independently.

Is that your idea to run it independent?

Here is an install on a Ford. The Titan install would look similar.

I have the www.whitenight.com lights wired to the trailer wiring also. If you want to switch backup lights from the dash you could do that with a dash mounted switch and a relay. You could get an OEM switch and mount it in the center dash blank or in the lower left driver's side dash blank. I would wire it to switch a trigger lead that is only hot with the ignition so that you don't forget and leave the backup lights on and drain the battery.

You can easily tap power for a trigger lead without cutting any wires using a mini-fuse add-a-circuit in the inside the cabin fuse box.

You could use a fog light wiring harness that comes with a relay:

I think they sell those at walmart also.

K-MU,

What Bayou said on the looks, I used model 004198. That one has a 2" square insert that you remove to use the tow hitch.

I wired directly into the backup lights hot wire in the towing harness that is right beside the tow hitch where this unit mounts. One wire splice and done. bestatchess has covered the in-cab option.

Since we have lights in the rear, the t-gate cargo lights, you could tap into them to power the factory reverse lights when you hit the cargo switch.

How bright is the light from the unit. I need something for backing out of my driveway at night. Live in the woods so the factory reverse lights aren't really cutting it.

Got pics please?
