Arrow Fog lights

Has anyone removed the stock fog light assembly and replaced it with a 55 watt Hella or Piaa type system?

I'm interested in this too. If you wouldn't mind posting pics, pros & cons, & prices I'd really appreciate. Adding stock lights to an SE that doesn't already have them seems like a rippoff compared to aftermarket options but I'd really appreciate your info...

Arrow

I was looking at Piaa's, although I'm not sure what size will fit and look appropriate. I found this one but have not measured the fitment yet.

its out there but search a little....to change from the stock to higher wattage, you probably will need heavier wire. trying to use the stock wire might result in melted wires. you could still wire it in with heavier wire and use the stock wire to run a relay switch for the new fogs.

I saw a Titan recently that had non-stock fog lights. They clearly looked different than the stock lights. They had a bluse tint on the lenses and they looked as though they came up almost flush to the bumper facia. Looked good IMO.

In addition to the OEM fog light I'd be interested in mounting additional driving/fog lights. Would that be difficult to run the wiring? How best to do it? Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

I have aftermarket fog lights on my titan and wiring it through the firewall wasn't bad at all.

Did you bring the wires through the existing wire bundle / grommet or did you drill a hole in the firewall?

piaa

menmy I will put some pics up didnt have to drill through fire wall used a hole that has i belive the emergency brake cable going through it. It comes out right below the master cyln. To mount them I used a drill bit with an angle adaptor on it. (not sure of the correct name of it. The Piaa light harness is long enough so you dont have to add any wire. The last thing I did do was add what they call add a fuse I belive. I went off of my ignition fuse in the fuse panel under the hood passanger side fuse panel. It allows two fuses in the same fuse holder with a hot lead off of it. 7 bucks at pepboys. Came out clean. I belive About an hour and a half of work. I think it took me longer to adjust my lights to where I wanted the to shine

You can also run wires through the hood latch release cable grommet and through the black rubber plug that can be seen with a flashlight from under the hood located just behind the brake booster. If you pull out the plug, you can make a hole in the center of the plug to run wire(s) through, and then put the plug back into the hole to serve as a grommet.
