so did everybody get 6000k? I'm thinking about going 8000k to match the lights on my S2000. what are your guys opinions?
It's all personal preference. The most lumens produced are the 5000 and 6000k bulbs As they go up in the scale they start getting dimmer. But at 8000k it is sorta irrelevant as they are still going to be bright. If you like the 8000k go for it. I like the more OEM look of 5000. I went ahead and got the 6000 which is pretty close to the color of the sun at noon during the daytime. they have a bit of blue in them.
Quick note for those worried about a ticket, stay away from 8000 and up....you are much more likely to get pulled for blue/purple lights then with the ultra white color of 5-6000k

Since there was some questions on the whole cop thing with these lights I made a few inquiries. My occupation I come into contact with quite a few law enforcement people here are the thoughts:
California Highway Patrol (this was two standing together bs'ing with me) "it has to be very obvious like some of the purple or green lights, sometimes they even put strobes on the windshield wipers. If the light is out of adjustment and causing a hazard then regardless of what it is I might see what's going on."
City Police: "Nope...I have no idea what the law even is on that, if its crazy bright or not white and blue I would probably stop them."
LAPD Traffic Valley Division Motor Officer: First of all if you stopped someone for the headlights and only that, you would have to make damn sure it was not a stock system and it indeed was in violation, I would have to prove this at the roadside and in court, I don't carry any device that can measure light level or color etc...so whatever you have there it would just have to be standing out so much that it can be proven if you challenged a ticket. People are so quick to challenge tickets these days, if you don't have something to quantify or prove what your stopping for then excessively bright headlights are hard to prove in court. Now...that doesn't mean I cannot stop someone for what I feel might non-stock headlights and it might lead to something else so I don't even have to write on the headlights.
Out of these 4 cops none had ever written for headlight brightness or non-stock HID.
Hope this helps everyone.

i thought about it for an hour! going w/ 6000k cause I want to put in Silverstars for the foglights to match. the 8000k is closer match to my S2000 from what I heard. Hopefully i'll be happy. saved $25 though using ebay coupon.

Hey when you get them, post a side by side picture with the S2000 and the Titan both running the HID's that would make for a good comparison.
I have a 05 Acura TL with HID's I'm not sure the color, but I will do a side by side photo and post back here. The Acura's HID's are awesome, they use a motorized IRIS like in your eye to switch to HID Highbeams using the same bulb.
