Chrome tailgate piece ?
I just purchased the chrome tailgate piece and it came with what looks like a scratch down the middle of it. It also kinda looks like where the plastic was molded together or something of that nature. Anyone else notice this or did I get a defective one? It is hard to notice but in the right light and with the right angle it looks like a very fine scratch.
Im including a picture of where the scratch is on the piece. I still have it in the plastic bag so I can return it if needed. I just want to make sure it's not suppose to be there before I send it back. The scratch is to light to catch it with my camera.

Looking at it closer I guess it looks more like a seam than a scratch. Either way sounds like I need to send it back for a new one. Thanks for the responses.

Now thats funny! Send that piece back and make them send you something for all of your trouble. They should visually inspect all of their inventory before shipping it out to a customer. This makes no sense to me.

It is normal after all. Look at the back of it and you can see the very fine line where the plastic was molded together. The company I bought it from inspected their inventory and all of them are like that. You have to be very close within a few inches to notice it. So look very close people right down the middle part where the handle comes through down to the very bottom of the middle too.

There's no line on mine. I don't know about the back side but the front side(chrome side) is all smooth with no line.
