HID & LED's *Pics*

After the threads, Elbo's wonderful install pics here:
http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tita...an-review.html
and Bestatchess review, I ordered the 8000 here's a few small pics.
I would highly recommend this mod to anyone, very easy installation and tremendous improvement over stock.

Also a few pics of the LED's I have, I haven't been able to find any brand brighter.

Well there hasn't been sun here in the last few days...I'll be happy to do these comparison shots but if the next thread says YosemiteSteve "Owned" I'll be ticked...ok off to take pics!

Mine are on the way too, but they owe me $260 since I got the optional shipping insurance.

Ok like I said no sun but I did what I could for. Interestingly I discovered something, I always thought that the LED's would be naturally a little less intense either night or day but taking these pics has me thinking otherwise. I bought them for the rapid on/off and greater longevity and they look cool! Anyway, some of these night and day pics clearly show the Halogen a little brighter during the day and the LED brighter at night!!!

I'm going to take some better quality photos with a higher quality camera, I will post these, will also dig up where I bought these from and some sunlight pic's to check wash-out compared to Halogen.

In the meanwhile, check out the pics tell me what u think?

Stock Halogen is driver side Tail Lamp (your left when viewing)
The lower blinker driver side is LED also.

Re: Hid - Jdm Kit - Pic

Here are the night time and no its not the camera making the LED's brighter, the intensity IS greater at night better quality pics to follow.

First pics under a normal parking light with ambient lighting (check out HID on roadway in the front) Halogen again on driver side rear.

last two pics are in driveway no streetlamps on, full LED tail lamps and full LED brake lamps.

http://spectrumled.com/3157_3156.htm

I believe this is the place.

The LED's I have are Tower I's so the Tower II's must be the newer one's. I counted my LED's and I have 18 and 3 forward, the newer one's have 5 forward and 15 on sides!

Think I need to upgrade.

From trial and error, I have a couple handfuls of the cheapo LEDs, these tower's are BY FAR the best I have found, if your really interested send me a couple bucks for postage and you can have the one's I've tried! They are all crap.

Second, I learned to buy the color for color lens your placing it in, if you buy bright white thinking you will get brighter you are wrong, the lens absorbs the light and it will actually be darker. For the rear titan you want the all RED for Tail lamps and Turn signals (4 total). For the front you will want AMBER for the Turn signal (because the lense is clear). For turn signal LEDs remember you need to buy the load equalizer/resistor that allows correct operation otherwise the circuit will sense a lower Ohm level and the blinker will flash quick as if a bulb is burned out, although they say only 2 are required, its best on the titan to just put one on each flashing led your installing you have access to the wire.

Good luck!!!
Off to order the newer ones.

HEY...what about a group buy on this? Is it against the forum rules? I thought I remember someone having problems initiating a group buy with a non-vendor? I do not believe any of our vendors carry this product. Ideas? I'm willing to contact them, don't want to get in hot water here though.

Thanks for the info Steve. I'm really interested in purchasing some. Waiting to see if there might be a group buy.

Also, which one would we need 3156 or 3157? Thanks

Re: Hid - Jdm Kit - Pic

**Group Buy**
Don't Buy as an individual yet, we might be getting a deal.

I looked for any moderator on last night to check if this is ok, don't want us to get anyone upset here at titantalk it is a valuable site. I looked just before this post and no moderator I can see. Here is the post from the company:
Hi Steve:

I am glad that you like the lights so much. We deeply appreciate all
of the positive comments about out lights on the forum. We offer a 25%
discount on all website orders of $500 or more, so if you have a group
buy for that much, then we can give you that discount. Let me know
what you are interested in, and if you get a list going, then I can get
you pricing.

Thanks!
Alison

Sooo any moderator that can answer this question, please advise.

I'm going to upgrade to the tower II's myself so that's 6 items right there, 5 or 6 people and we are going to be there really quick. I can post the other higher quality pics to spark some more interest from everyone.
Steve
