899 fog light bulbs

are the 899 light bulbs that are in the stock fog lights the same as 893 bulbs sold by aftermarket vendors?

Me too. Sylvania makes several that will fit. But the 893ST has the highest wattage that you can use. 37.5w vs. 30w of some of the others. Its a great bulb and well worth it.

I noticed that also. To be honest, I really don't understand the difference between 881, 893, and 899.

881 is something like 27 watts or something close, while 893 is 37.5 watts but have same base and both will work fine in titan (my manual says to replace fog lights with 881 37.5 watts, since an 881 is 27 or so and the 37.5 is actually a 893, i figured if i melted a housing with the 893 i had a case for warrenty as the manual stated 37.5 watt bulb was to be used)

Re: 899 fog light bulbs

Yup. Same plugs, different watts. The 893 is the highest watt you can use safely. Makes a big difference.

I think they are 30w. Definitely less than 37.5 watts.

Re: 899 fog light bulbs

What are JDM bulbs? Are they a brand? I remember looking on here in one of the posts there was a like to another bulb maker that had some nice bulbs that were very similar to HID. I did a search on JDM and just found the HID kits, do they make regular bulbs also?

Thanks....

Re: 899 fog light bulbs

I use the sylvania silverstars 893st also, but I noticed that they are just a little different in color than the the headlight and highlights which are 9005st and 9006st. Anyone else notice that?

JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market.
JDM is also a brand for a company that sells HID kits on Ebay.
They don't make other bulbs.
