ground cables

I have read on here before about changing out the ground cables on the titan. Does anyone on here make some and sell to titantalk members? or does anyone recall the lenghs of the cables so a guy could make the swap in a matter of minutes, also how many cables are there that get replaced?

thanks for the advice.

Re: ground cables

A lot of other members say that their engines idle and tranny shifts smoother.

I bought the kit from these guys. I believe they work, I perceive better shifting and quicker starts for sure. I think it idles smoother and quieter (if that's possible) and it may get .2mpg better. The kit is very high quality and a good value IMHO. The directions are ok, the pictures could be better. They shipped quickly and were easy to order via their website.

PS- If you get stuck on the install 'search' or post a question here. Many have this kit.

Re: ground cables

I made my own and followed thier instructions. I noticed a difference in shifting. Maybe a possible increase in my aftermarket stereo.

Re: ground cables

It can't hurt to do extra grounding, it just makes sense for completing circuits faster & widening electrical paths. and if you do heavy audio upgrading, the extra grounds will prevent dimming of lights. The active tuning kit provides direct grounding of battery, alternator, engine block & tranny. The only other thing to do as far as high power audio would be to run a direct wire from the alternator to the pos. battery terminal.

Re: ground cables

I went down to my local car stereo shop bought a good quality ground wire #4 and put them on my self in about an hour. I do notice a difference even in my wallet when I only spent approx. $13 total.
