Fender Flares

My new Titan ('06 KingCab LE in majestic blue with the offroad package)should be here within the next week or so and the one thing I want to add to it right away are fender flares. I've read through the search results of previous threads, but still have a couple of questions.
Both the ATS and the BW look decent, but the Bushwackers didn't even list them for the '06. Are the '05's the same?
The ATS ones I've seen look more squared off, has that design changed in the past few months?
Aything I need to know/consider before ordering? ATS is sure a bunch cheaper, and I kind of like the un-painted version rather than the color matched ones.
Haven't decided yet whch ones to get, more pictures would sure help. Also, if you guys have recommendations as far as where to get them-I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

Re: Fender Flares

Do your research before buying them. The BW and ATS have two very distinct looks. The BW are smaller and in my opinion looks better. The ATS are more bulky and looks better painted to match the color of your truck. I'm not sure but I suppose the BW will fit the 06 since I don't think Nissan has changed any of the exterior dimensions since the 04.

I'm going to get the BW and leave them black.

Here's a thread about the flares:

Good Luck,

Re: Fender Flares

Thanks for the link, I dunno how I missed that thread. Been reading bunches. Interesting you think the ATS look better painted, and the BWs black. Didn't realize the ATS were that much bigger. Anyone have a picture of a majestic blue truck with the flares on? The more I look, the more confused I get.

Looks like the ATS...I myself prefer the ATS over the BW..BW is way to plain and the ATS seem to go with the trucks lines..

Re: Fender Flares

I didn't know Stillen made flares. They look pretty much like the ATS style though.

I think I'll stick with the Bushwackers

Re: Fender Flares

I bought the Bushwhacker fender flares for my 04 King Cab, but ended up selling them on this website when I realized they wouldn't work with the factory mudflaps. Also, on the 04, you have to remove the V8 badge on the front fenders to get them to fit. Too much trouble.

Re: Fender Flares

I pretty much assumed that any of the fender flares would require removal of the OEM mud flaps?

Re: Fender Flares

Both require removal of the mud flaps. I have the ATS painted to match. I ordered the BW first but the rounded shape just didn't fit what I was looking for. The ATS should fit an 06 with no problem. Even if you have an 04, you can order them for an 05 and just remove the badges if you don't like the cut out. Its what ever you think looks best.

It's definitely an '06, the badges are on the doors, not the fenders. I still like the look of the BW's better, the ATS still look too angular to me. I'll have to keep looking at the them a little longer before deciding, it might grow on me. Now I've cruised around looking at prices more, and found the black BW's for 310 vs the painted ATS for 450. It would be nice to spend less, but I plan on having this truck for a long time so the price difference is not going to be the deciding factor.

Hey Wings,

What site did you find the black BW for 310.00? That's a pretty good price.

Re: Fender Flares

congrats on the new truck, wings. nice bike also!!
i have had the bushwackers for over a year now and they have been holding up perfectly, still nice and tight. i hear that the ats requires 3m tape to adhere the flare to the fender. personally, i would prefer not to go that route. the bw's use factory holes to mount them and i think the lines of the bw's look better in my opinion. good luck and congratulations. p.s. i had mine painted for 100.00

Only thing on ebay is that most are advertised as "fitting with lock box only." I don't have the lock box.

I did find a site on ebay for the BW for $283.00 but again with the lock box only. Not sure if the rebate is after or included in the $343.00 price?
