HELP with 37's. Can I run them?

I don't know whats up with 4Wparts but they messed up another order for me. Instead of shipping my new 18" rims and tires with ProComp Xtreme AT 35's they sent out 37's. I have a 7" CST lift. What do I have to do to the wheel wells to prevent rubbing and any other probs? thanks in advance

Re: HELP with 37's. Can I run them?

it is possible to make them work but I would think if I can run 35's on only a leveling kit with minor rubbing an 6+ inch lift would be able to clear 37's. I looked at the no fear titan and it has 35's and it looks like there is enough room to fit 37's without trimming. Best thing to do would be to put them on and turn the tires to see how bad the rubbing is and then take out the inner fender liner and knock back the pince weld. That is really about all that I can say for helpful advice. keep us updated.

Re: HELP with 37's. Can I run them?

i forgot the username, but there is a guy with a red titan on the procomp lift and 37s i think; check the pix forum. he had to trim the rear of the front wells to minimize rubbing, but it might not have been enough for offroading. i have the cst 8" lift and 325/70/17s (35 equivalent) and it rubs on hard turns/compressions as well as when it's packed with people (i haven't done much to try to fix this though). this may have something to do with my wheel specs, but i think you would not totally get rid of rubbing. try to keep it to an 8" wide rim with 5" of backspacing. you may have to add a lil bit of positive camber to shift the wheels more forward. you can also add the fox coilovers for some additional inches of lift. it depends on what you are trying to achieve/compromise.

Re: HELP with 37's. Can I run them?

I would just call them and tell them they screwed up. Have them send out a call tag for your goofed tires so you won't have to deal with it and at the same time, they can ship out your correct tires. Don't compromise for their screwup. If you mount the tires and roll around on them, they might not take them back. You might also be in for more suspension work just to fit them.

I live down the street (literally) from the Redondo Beach location and I've bought stuff from them in the past and had to take stuff back on occasion because they spec'd the wrong size. This also happened with my old Toyota prerunner, they said I could run a certain size tire, and sure enough, they didn't fit. I guess I was lucky to live down the street from them.
