just installed GT HID foglights

I got these from 1sicktitan and I have to say that these suckers are bright! They are also 6000k. They feel little brighter than my 6000k headlights I think because they're also pointing to the ground closer to the bumper.
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to hook these up but I got it going. At the bulb point there's a rubber grommet that holds 2 sets of wires. 1 is connected to the bulb and the other are 2 wires that have exposed crimp connectors. These have to be slipped into the stock connector terminals that previously would be mounted to the foglights. I have some electrical tape that sticks and stretches like a heat shrink so I stuck them in and wrapped them up tight. I wire tired them to the stock wire harness hanging down. 1sicktitan said others have used heat shrink. My suggestion is to get a female connector like what a few HID manufacturers are supplying. Every other connector is plug and play. There's no ignitor in this setup.I mounted the ballasts on top of the JDM Ballasts with the supplied double tape which are on top of the "shelf" behind the headlights. I wrapped a wire tire around both ballasts and the shelf. It doesn't budge 1 bit.

I have to readjusted the fogs to point as far down as I could. I noticed the center of the glass lights gets pretty warm but the outsides are fine.

sorry I don't have those pics cause I got excited trying to beat sundown.

comparison of hid fog and stock foglights.

couple shots of the new fogs.

Re: just installed GT HID foglights

I actually got that deflector as a gift but the going rate is $100+. $75 could be the plastic chrome.

at your reply or new thread, there's a "manage attachments" on the bottom. that's where you can upload but there's a file size limit.
