stainless bed rail covers?

is there any replacement pieces for the plastic bed rail covers? like stainless,diamondplate,or hell just plain painted steel.my truck is only like 3 mos old and the bed rails look horrid as well as the top of the tailgate.it seems no matter how careful you are you still drag stuff across it.
