Re: Fog lights?

An electrical Problem? I am assuming they mean the fogs won't work on an SE 4x2. I think thier wrong, I put fogs on my SE 4x2, only took me 15 minutes and the SE's are prewired for fogs just pop the covers and plug in and then replace the turn signal stalk with the one with the foglight switch which comes with the kit, I would take a look behind the bumper, you should see a wireing harness for each of the foglights, if you see it you shouldn't have a problem.

Re: Fog lights?

They have a note about that here, if you click on the foglight kits. I thought the problem was only with 2WD XE which wasn't pre-wired with a harness, but it does mention 2WD SE also.

If you can't get a harness & lights from Nissan that will work, you could always just get aftermarket foglights and put the switch in one of the blanks on the lower driver side dash. You can buy a switch from Nissan if you want the OEM look. That would have the advantage that the fogs could be controlled independently of the headlights. Just use a relay and then switch the trigger lead of the relay. If you use an ignition switched source of power to the switch for the trigger lead (e.g. passenger side lighter socket) then you will be protected from walking away and leaving the fogs on.
