Nissan Titan Clear Corners

Just letting everyone out there know, That was a HARD THING TO ACCOMPLISH! I got bored and hated the yellow in my headlights so yes I did it. The only thing I have left to do is decide what color to go with, chrome or Silver. I did the oven trick and let me tell you, maybe I did it wrong but I could not get those babies to break apart! I tried every different degree! towels with water! Butter Knieves! And they were still solid as a rock! I eventually said What the hell and ordered some back up ones of ebay so I could really mess these up! lol and sure enough losts of tries I got em. Vice Grips and heat where all that it took. Im not satisfied with how I did it and I have an idea that maybe cleaner not like it really matters cause you can't see that part of the lights. But in the time being I just wanted everyone to know "DON"T DO IT!" lol Think about! It sucked! lol but it looks ok, i havn't put it back on the truck yet, its to cold!
Chrome

Silver

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

i dunno why I got so tired of the yellow markers, i just like doing stuff to my truck and thought it might look pretty good if I did it. Yea I found them extremely hard to take apart, infact I only got one side open enough to get the marker out. It could also be because i just don't have the physical strenght to have gotten them open, but hey you live and learn.

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

I didn't see any clips, its like silicone and plastic melted together to get the seal that goes around the light. here are a few pics of the headlight back on. I have to do the other so I left the grille out..

I think it looks good on your truck! Pi3 had a good question. Also, why does it have dodgetruckworld.com on the images. Are you a member there?

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

Yes im a member of Dodge truck world, I use to have one. This site wouldn't let me up load those last two pics. I painited the yellow with a high temp silver paint. I am thinking about sending it off to get chromed but I am not sure yet. As for the light, it will still be yellow since the bulb is yellow for the turning signals. I am not sure how the little regular light behind the yellow lense is going to look at night. I will see though when it gets dark. thanks

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

That looks pretty good! I started a headlight project a long time ago and haven't had the time to get back to it yet. Your right the lights are tough to open up, but I didn't have that much trouble. Check out my original post.

Wow. It looks great. The yellow markers bother me too but I am not brave enough to take the lights out and work on them. Yours look very nice. I like it a lot.

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

let me ask you a question regarding your overall truck, is it really lowered or is that photoshopped?

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

I would have been more bothered by the towing mirrors on a lowrider rather than some yellow lights. Just my 2 cents. What ever floats your boat I guess.

Re: Nissan Titan Clear Corners

I think it's pretty obviously photoshopped. The shadows on the wheels are wrong.
