which flares for my lifted smoke truck

hello all, my wheels stick out pretty good due to having 22x10's wheels and 325/50/22. I need your opinion on what to get. I trimmed the heck out of the mudflaps so they wouldn't rub so badly on the tires.

here's some pics

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

I really like the look of the bushwackers painted. Then again the look of them unpainted might go well with your side steps and rims. Can you powder coat the Bushwackers.....

thanks for the response. you only can powdercoat metals. they stick it in an oven so that's why.

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

If you're going to go with Bushwackers, I'd leave them unpainted, that would be a nice little contrast with your smoke and wheels. Before you decide, I would look at ATS flares, I really like their angular design. You have to get them painted though, they have no UV protection. They do look good on a few Titans I've seen in here.

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

As you're going for the monochromatic theme, I'd go for the painted Bushwackers. The ATS flares are a good option, but I guess it's just personal preference. I'm looking to go with the Bushwackers painted to match my Galaxy Black. Also just ordered my N-Fab nerf bars. Your truck is lookin good! Keep on moddin! And certainly keep posting pics!!!!

Just had a thought. Maybe do some photoshopping to see which style you like better on your truck. Maybe Glowinstrat could help!

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

i've seen them in pics but just geared towards BW. they also appear to stick out more than ATS. we got a meet next sunday so I'm hoping members have 1 of each for me to check out up close and personal.

yep mods are still continuing. just finally got my viper alarm w/ remote start programmed right.

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

I'd go with the unpainted Bushwackers cuz I'm getting the painted and I wouldn't want our trucks looking the same. j/k :P

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

Buy the BW's and install them. It involves no drilling and no tape. You'll be done in little time. They'll fit nice and tight and are really quite sturdy.

Afterwards, stand back and admire the substantial change in appearance. Drive around with them for a few days. If you decide that you would prefer to waste a little more money to have them painted...pop them off and have it done.

You don't have that option, really, with the ATS's.

BW website says 1 1/2" additional tire coverage.

http://www.bushwacker.com/fender.asp...search=Search#

I can't find specific info on the ATS site, but they look to extend similarly. I know in PA, we are limited to fender extensions of only 2". Other states may vary.

Re: which flares for my lifted smoke truck

I just voted for the BW unpainted. That's what I plan to do. I think that's the best look, at least for my truck.

For you I would also suggest what majorKAP said... buy the unpainted, attach them, drive around for awhile and see if you like the look. If you don't then paint them.

According to the voting, it's a tie between the BW unpainted and painted with my vote!

Good Luck,
DJ
