Grille question? Insert of whole housing

Does the Street Scene Grille or the Stull come with the whole shell also?? Shell is the black part behind the chrome housing. I was searching around and saw on Stillen's website that it comes in a paintable urathine housing. So does that mean that it comes with a whole new shell and all you have to do is bolt it in where the stock one used to go?? Or is it just a grill insert?

i have the stillen piece. it's basically a hard plastic exterior surround (should be painted as the material color is not consistent) and the mesh grill material. it replaces the entire factory grill. however, there is nothing behind the mesh grill to funnel air; it's complete open.

So this replaces the whole OEM peice and even the black plastic shell part that clips back into your truck?

yes. the black rear piece is attached to the chrome housing so everything is replaced.

i have an xe grill for sale, which basically lacks the chrome from se/le models...

Yeah man I did my grille. I was just curious about that. The grille you got looks really good.
