need help with my led tail lights !!

i got some led bulbs for my tail lights, from what i understand the rear turn signal is bulb number 3156 and the rear break lights nunber is 3157. now my question to you is can i put a 3157 bulb in place of a 3156 and still work. please help me out,i already got the 3157s i payed 20 bucks a peace for a bulb.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT !!!!!!

I recall from bulbs of yesteryear that the xx57 had 2 elements....one for illuminating and one for blinking.....and the xx56 had one large element for the brake light.......or maybe not.

You can use a 3157 where a 3156 goes but not the other way around
