Question transmission pan

Does anyone know who makes an after market transmission pan the will hold more fluid than the stock transmission pan? I have a 2004 Titan. I notified the dealership about a rear differential problem after noticing the paint had burnt off the rear yolk. They are aware of the problem and the parts are back ordered. I tow a 8500lb. trailer, and would like to prevent any future problems towing.

Stillen, PML and Mag-Hytec make aftermarket extra-capacity covers for the rear differential.

I am unaware of any extra capacity automatic transmission pans.

Re: transmission pan

I really don't think a larger transmission pan is necessary. There are two transmission fluid coolers on all Titans that do a good job. There are also internal temp sensors in the transmission that change the operation of the transmission to protect it from damage.

PML does make transmission pans that have increased oil capacity with deep pans for reduced oil temperature. But they do not have one the Titan at this time. You would most likely have to have 20 to 30 people preorder one before they would make one. That's what we did to get the differential cover.
