Fog Light HID question...

Whats the difference between the 893 and the 899 and the 880 and the 881...could a 881 bulb be swapped for a 893??

Ive found 881 HIDs but no 893...

Will they work or totally different?

HAHA I knew you wouldn't be able to resist.

You saw what a difference the HID's made and now you are addicted. Thats just the reason I haven't upgraded yet, I couldn't have those girly looking fog and HB's. Maybe you could just replace them with the silvstars. You should have plenty of light and those will make them look "better" even though it wont give you more light.

But I would like to know the answer to this ? also.

Pi, did you ask this guy if he could ship over a crate of these things for your fellow titan freaks??!!

Here goes again..

881 - Angled plug. What Nissan booklet recomends. It WILL NOT FIT!!

899 - Straight plug. What is actually IN your Nissan's fogs!

893 - Straight plug. Most common fittment to find aftermarket bulbs in.

What color HID (yellow, 6000k, 6500k, 8000k, etc.) are you looking for, for your fog lights? Drop me a PM.

And seeing the silverstars even after the HIDs...theres no way...theyre still way to yellow

rather save those 40 bucks and put em to another set...

maybe those HIR bulbs...

was wondering...u got pics of the differences by chance?

and why would nissan recommend the 881 and it not fit? can u mod it a bit to fit?

Do the HIR bulbs have a whiter/bluer look to them than the regular ones? I know they are brighter but that doesnt mean they will be a close match to the HID's. I would love to get the HID/HIR combo but thats getting expensive now.

true that...but there was a...well in the other post a GB for 17 bucks on another site...for the HIR bulbs...thats why I waiting for a reply...I dont know bout color but from pics on that other post it looks compared to silverstar (if not better) so they have to be somewhat whiter...

The difference is in the plug end.. where the wire harness plugs into.

Nissan recomends 881, but thats not even whats in the fogs to start with!

Stock is 899 straight plug.

Here is a shot of a "straight plug." Reason an "angled plug" won't fit, is because there is a screw that the plug would make contact with, and not be able to be locked/twisted into place.

Dude, fogs should be yellow... because of the way lite works. However I know why you wan them ...

I guess not...I thought u had said 17 bucks a set on some camry site...

this is what they say bout the HIRs though

"they are rated at 3600K, stock is 3250K. so they are whiter, but probably not as white as PIAAs or silverstars, but ill take more lightoutput anyday."

Like I said in my PM, let me know if you need a set in the CORRECT fittment, and ill do it up.

My 4000k Yellow HID kit, is the correct fittment plug.. no mickey mouse BS here.
