Sliding tool box manfacturer

Does anyone know who makes the Nissan sliding toolbox or how to get parts for it?

Re: Sliding tool box manfacturer

I don't know the manufacturer and the dealers won't disclose that info either. I bought one used and one of the knobs that you tighten to hold the box from sliding in the track was rusted solid. I actually had to cut the bolt. I then called my local dealer and they told me that no parts were available that they could only sell me a new tool box. They wouldn't even look into it for me. I knew this was BS, so I called another dealer that's out of my area, but I have had a good experience with in the past. The parts manager there told me he wasn't sure but he would look into it. That was all I asked for, to at least look into it. So a couple days later he calls me back and says he just received a hardware package that was shipped to him at no charge! So he charged me $5 for UPS and shipped it to me. So the moral of the story is, a good dealer can get the parts. Sorry for the long post. lol

Thanks QWIKWHIP. I was installing my tool box and it got a way from me, and the box, along with me, came tumbling out of the back of the truck! I had bruises all over the inside of my thighs because I was straddling the box when it went. Although it was a close call, the family jewels survived! Let this be a lesson to those of you who buy a sliding toolbox in the future. It slides quite easily! Get that stop in place ASAP!

Anyway I landed right on top of one of the plastic slides that holds the metal keeper for the knob tie down in the upright positon. I don't know why they didn't make those out of metal. I would really like to replace it. I may give courtesy parts a call. They have been quite good so far.

I got some strange looks from her when she saw the bruises. They were pretty bad. I had to fess up to my bonehead move rather quickly before she started thinking that I had some type of S&M thing going on the side!

Wow! Now that doesn't sound like any fun. Glad your ok though. That could have been a lot worse by the sounds of it. Let me know how you make out with Courtesy. If that doesn't work out and all you need is one of the plastic guides, I think I still have the extra one from when I got my parts. I would be happy to send it to you. lol, just gotta find it.

Re: Sliding tool box manfacturer

I know this is an old thread... but I was looking for the manufacturer myself today and came across this thread. I wanted to buy a tray to help organize some of the stuff. I looked everywhere on the web, and then it hit me... look on the box that the toolbox came in!! And sure enough... there it is. It was shipped to my Nissan dealer by none other than Dee Zee!!

deezee.com

It doesn't look like they sell the trays on their site. Maybe I will call them.

I also found this site: acetruckbox.com/boxes/specialty.html

I haven't checked the dimensions yet though. And not sure if you can get them in black.
