Exhaust Systems Which One?

Well most of us has changed our exhaust to either get better performance and or better gas milage.
I first installed a Volant Gen 3 with CAI so the next step to finish it off is a aftermarket exhaust. Right? Humm...
I know everyone has different oppinions on what's the best exhaust...
First off forget about waisting your time and money on headers.
NOT WORTH IT. You will not see any significant gains to be worth the time and money, except you being able to say you have headers.
I had a JBA CAT back exhaust system installed. Performance gains were there. It did sound cool, that is for awhile until the drone drove me crazy.
I went to a local exhaust shop and they told me out of all the different mufflers they have tried the Flowmaster Series 70 is the only one that TRULY works. A little louder than stock (stock sound is pretty cool) and better yet BETTER GAS MILAGE!!!
With gas starting at 3 bucks a gal. that is my biggest concern (BETTER MILAGE).
I am getting the Flowmaster installed Monday. I will report to you later what happens!
Right now with 35" tires I am getingabout 12.5 mpg's.

Re: Exhaust Systems Which One?

Straight up an exhaust or intake will not save gas no matter what they claim. I mean more air in for the engine to burn more fuel does not equate to better milage. Most muffler shop will tell you Flowmaster since that's the biggest name they carry. Zoomers have cat back system that's garuantee no drone. Banks a good system but very loud.
