list prices are estimates that's why I stated that from the beginning. Check e-bay or with some of the vendors. I got that price at one point from somewere just not sure. Maybe that thread with the Westin's will say something

I've seen the Amp Research power steps for as low as $1150, but not under that, although others claim to have paid less.

Oh i understand that it's an estimate, just hoping that I could actually find a set for that price, i'd buy it right now. I've only found them for over 300 $ in my short search. That's all I'm saying.

A few pointers:

Buy stainless steel, which is the most rust resistant. (Westin Platinum Series is SS, Signature Series is not SS).

Nasta is the ONLY brand that sells 100% stainless steel, including the bars and all mounting hardware.

If you get black, the powdercoating will last 2 or 3 years before it will start to come off.

N-Fabs are nice, but they do rust.

We like to sell Bully, very good bang for your buck. It's the same T304 stainless steel as all the rest and price is very reasonable.

Luverne is also a good brand-Polished Stainless is around $400,
-Black Powdercoated Stainless is around $240

in the 6 years I've installed their products I've never had any problems there polished stuff, they just switched to stainless with their powdercoated stuff, but like titangasm said definately stay away from anything NOT stainless

So make it happen. These are the ones I have on my truck. I went with black not chrome, but that is my taste and not for everyone. I rather doubt someone is gonna get in a pinch over that little reference.

The N-fabs look nice! I'm thinking about welding up some similar steps in the garage and swapping out those bulky stock steps.

Cabela's makes some good step/nerf bars. They mount to the factory body mounts, so no drilling. I bought them and they seem to be fine. My only complaint is that they don't have a center mount that would bolt up to the center body mount on my crew cab. I have always had good luck with Cabela's and they have a great return policy.

Any idea where I can get the best price on the AMP Step Bars? I tried to get in contact with PreRunnerGreg but no response yet...

If I can get a nice deal on a pair I might be interested in forking out the dough. Maybe.
