Re: speaking of dents ...

it's going to be hard to tell until you put one on. i wonder if you can bang it out a lil w/o cracking the chrome plating. if so it won't look as bad.

I was thinking about the lightbar idea because of this little present someone gave me in a parking lot before Christmas. Mostly damage to ego , especially when someone notices (how can you not notice on that expanse of chrome?) When I found out how much a replacement bumper cost I balked, then starting thinking about alternatives (like it's the first $400 toward a winch bumper, or a bull bar, or a light bar, or...)

So here's my question: do you think the setup in the 2nd picture would cover my dent, or just draw attention to it?

Yeah, I was hoping... The two body shop guys I have dealt with and trust their judgement say not. Chrome is too thin, curves too sharp, or something. Any experience here?

Re: lightbar advice

GOOD JOB on getting more pics, RC! There is nothing on their site.

That being said, I'm getting it!!! I'm going to order the bar and my side steps, and have them painted red.

Re: lightbar advice

glad to help. you ought to see if anyone can photoshop those pics to red. I think you'll be more excited to do that.

btw maybe you can order the bars unfinished so you can paint them red or have them powdercoated for more durability.

Re: lightbar advice

Hmmm...you may be right. Are you happy with the finish on your bars?
