Black or chome (N-Fab running boards)....that is the question

I think the N-fab running boards are pretty sick and i'm sure i'll get a pair..

My delima is chrome or black. I have a Granite 4x4 cc SE and i have noticed that both chrome or black complements....I'm waving towards black because it looks a bit more rugged..

any thoughts?

also... who makes a good quality chrome grill ( I was on the stillen site...but i can't tell if they are cheezy or solid)

thanks

Since they have a history of rusting I'm going to say chrome.

i was thinking about doing the granite or flat black, i have a black cc w/ glossy black bars.. imo they stand out too much. look at this link.

Not a big fan of a lot of chrome, so first choice is Black...second is painted granite.

Good luck to whatever you do then post some pics!

If you're considering spending the extra cash for chrome...I'd suggest you just get them color matched.

In retrospect... i was thinking that chrome was chrome, but i guess its just grey... hard to tell from the site.

Color matched would be nice... i wonder how much extra that is?

call around a paint shop. you can see if you can powercoat them as well. My SS bugguard is powdercoated metallic smoke. if you're near HB call these guys. they do Foose's pc. http://www.specializedcoating.com/

Re: Black or chome (N-Fab running boards)....that is the question

Look closer. I had this same dilemma whan I bought mine. I called them and asked if they could make them out of stainless steel. They suggested the "chrome" ones. Turns out, they're not chromed - they're silver powder coating. Dull finish. Nothing like stainless OR chrome. They just look painted silver. My suggestion is either the black or paint-matched, but not dull silver. Oh, and I think the color matching was an extra $90 or so if I remember correctly.
