Black housing Halo Projectors installed (56k beware)

Well I didn't get them in time for the Jersey meet, but they were waiting for me when I got home. First impressions are that they are really good quality. They look and feel to be as good a quality as the OEM lights. The high, low, parking and directional lights are all a plug and play set up. The Halo and LED's need to all be wired up. I wired them using some Molex connectors I had. I wired them so that I can just unplug them if I don't like them and also so I can just unplug the LED's only. I'm still unsure about the LED's. I think I like the look with just the Halo's on. It looks "angry", and with the LED's it just looks too "flashy" I think. I still have to get more pics at night though. I also haven't adjusted them or driven at night yet, so I'll add my reviews once I do. One other thing too, I had bought some of those "silver bulbs" for the directionals (3157 bulb). This way when the lights are off I don't get the orange hue. Anyway, here's some pics. Oh, and I have to say, the pictures definitely do not do justice for these lights. They look much better in person.

Just before the stock lights come off.

These pictures just do not do them justice.

And this is the only picture I have in the dark.

Re: Black housing Halo Projectors installed (56k beware)

Those look great, I think the black housing may just be the ticket for my white truck. How is the light output? Do they have nice cutoff like OEM projectors on other cars?

Thanks for the great pics, I see you had the most important item on hand for the installation, is the first couple of picks.

lol, Yeah gotta have the Beer.

As for the light output. They seem good, haven't driven at night yet. I think they could use some silverstars or HID's though. They are defenitly a "halogen" looking color. But the projector beam is awesome, seems OEM quality. It has the positive cut off and has the stepping effect as well. The beam pattern is teh same as my Audi was. I'll get pics of that soon.

Did you have any problems with the fit and finish? They look to fit very nice, but I was just wondering...

Not at all, they fit perfectly. I was very impressed with the quality. Now the weak attempt at instructions is another story. lol But you don't need them anyway.

I think they look great. Good choice in getting the black ones. I think they look awsome on your truck.

Led's don't draw much power correct? I worked with a guy that had L.E.D.'s in his headlight housings that stayed on constantly without a problem. If I wanted to wire them to stay on all the time, would it drain my battery? I would probably put a switch somewhere to cut them off if I wanted to. Just a thought...

I guess you could, like I said the wires are just hanging out the back. You can wire them however you want. I don't know much about the draw though, but I don't think LED's draw much at all.

They seem bright, but I haven't had a chance to adjust them and drive at night to give a real opinion yet. Hopefully soon.

Re: Black housing Halo Projectors installed (56k beware)

More questions...how do you have the halos and other LED's wired? Would it be possible to wire the halos to the parking lights, and the 3 dots to the blinkers only?
