Titan timing chain or belt?

I was looking at my maintenance schedule and I could have swore I seen somewhere that the Titan has a chain instead of a belt. Can someone confirm?

Its a chain:

Go down to where it says Quietness (page 7 I think) and see "Super silent chain system".

Re: Titan timing chain or belt?

Most of Nissan's vehicles use chains. Which is one reason I buy Nissans. My 99 Sentra has a chain, my 06 Murano has chains, and so does the Titan.

Re: Titan timing chain or belt?

The way we drive our trucks, we don't haul fat a$$ trailers all day and haul loads like the some stupid Commercials show all the time. Most of us just drive these trucks everyday to work and back or to run errands. The timing Chain won't need to be changed unless you use the HELL out of your truck. Plus, you will hear it going out too which means, YUP.....replacing it.
