rubbing question (please help)

ok, I saw a titan at a dealership that they had put a 6 inch lift kit and 35 inch tires on it. it was a brand new 06 model. they had to do some cutting and refiguring around the fender well to get it to work and there was still slight rubbing of the tires against the fender well on the sharpest of turns (I test drove it). I am thinking of doing the same thing to my 05 so will I have ot cut out around the fender well? thanks

note this 06 titan was flared out around the fenders

Re: rubbing question (please help)

It sortof depends on the lift you use, the width of the tire and the width and offset and backspacing of the rims.

Re: rubbing question (please help)

Affirmative on the rubbing in the full turns, mine did the same thing with my PC stage2 6" lift. There is a easy fix to that, shave the inside corner edge of front wheel wells at an angle about one inch in, smooth the edges with sand paper or rubber seal. This is easy to do and will not effect the structural integrity of the fender or wheel well.

Re: rubbing question (please help)

I had to shave the rear lower corner 1" on my fenders after my cst 8". I have 35/13.5/18 tires on 18x9 rims with 4.5" back spacing
