Lift options?

Im looking to put a better stance on the titan. I have an 06 4X4 KC LE with the off road packadge on it. I really like the look of about 4 inches, but everything that I find is only for 2WD, other than a $2,000 7" lift, wich is not only too high, but too much money.

I am an idiot when it comes to lifting, i just know I want to go up for some off roading/better looks, so if somebody could make a few options(everything I need for the lift) with keeping low cost in mind, that would be awesome.

Please read this thread. Rancho lifted RSX9000s Busted AGAIN...

Pro Comp stage2 lifts have the same problem and most people go for the stage1, w/o the Pro Comp shocks, and get quality shocks from PRG.

With decent shocks, any of the lifts will cost you at least $2000, most will be more.

For a 4" 4x4 lift you need to look at the PRG performance lift.
It is more of a 3 1/2" for a 4x4, and is total quality parts, including Donahoe Racing 2 1/2", height adjustable coil-overs and the Total Chaos upper a-arm for the front. Bilstein 5100 shocks and a PRG/Deaver mini-pak for the rear.

Follow the link in my sig and then Performance Packages in the Titan section.

A cheaper alternative would be to get a PRG 2" level kit for the front and the Bilstein shocks, for the back, and then later upgrade to DRE coil-overs, etc.

Decide how much you can spend, and if you like a raked or level stance, then call Greg, (PRG), for the best deal. His number is under contacts on the home page of his on-line store, linked in my sig.

Re: Lift options?

I hav ethe Pro Comp 6" lift on my 06 4x4 cc and no problems with the ride here. I am not a hard core offroader but do enjoy getting up in the mountains occasionally. The only complaint I have with the PC lift is the steering stops are so big it turned worse than my ! ton long bed GMC wotk truck, until I got out the grinder. The ride is still very comparable to the stock ride, just a little stiffer in the rear. Not sure but I think the traction bars probably did that more so than the replacement shocks. The PC lift uses the stock front shocks and replaces the back.

You did the right thing and got the stage1 lift. You will be able to upgrade to the PRG spec. Radflo coil-overs, and not eat the cost of the Pro Comp c.o., if you ever feel the need.

I assume the traction bars you have are also the Pro Comp? Please read the following post for a critque of the various ones. Over at the suspension forum area, everyone I've seen post about the PRG traction bars, loves them. From the following post, sounds like you might want to upgrade. Be aware that the OEM Rancho coil overs will probably need replacement before too long, (if you have the Off-Road). Don't know about longevity of the non-Off-Road coil-overs.
