Back Bumper w/sensors for my 2005 LE
Please help me out here buds. Some jack@$$ backed up into my Titan, and jacked up the back bumper. I have the LE series, and have the sensors built in to it.. I just called the dealership where I bought my truck, and they quoted me a price of $435 w/o labor. Does anybody know where I would be able to find this cheaper, so I don't have to pay my $500 deductable from my insurance? Any if I can get some pointers on the installation, I might be able to install this myself; and not get ripped off by the dealership. Any help will be greatly appreciated !!!

Re: Back Bumper w/sensors for my 2005 LE
...one last thing, anybody know if this is something an amature can put on? If so, does anybody know where I can get instructions on how to do so? I appreciate everything, this forum rocks !
These rear bumpers are really easy to take on and off. There are 3 nuts and bolts on the frame rails that hold all of the bracketry onto the bumper. You will want to have a friend or jackstands or some sort of support while holding it up, it is kind of heavy and this will prevent you from accidentally hitting your tailgate or fenders.
It is easy to remove and replace. The sensors come out of the bumper easy once it is removed from the truck.
Disconnect all the electricals (snap/plug-ins). Take out the spare tire (makes access easier) 3 bolts on each side, one bracket on each side is slotted so it can slide in and out. Bumper weighs 40-50 lbs, once your remove the bolts you can slide it right off. To install just reverse the procedure and tighten the bolts up real snug.
You can do it, don't pay labor to someone else.

To remove the rear bumper with Sonar Sensors:
1. Disconnect harness from tow hitch, if you have a hitch and then remove hitch.
2. Disconnect Sonar sensor harness connector.
3. Disconnect Sonar sensors from plastic retainers. The retainers have lock tabs, you will see them from inside the bumper.
4. Disconnect license lamp harness, remove clips from license lamps and then remove lamps.
5. Release clips and then remove the upper and lower step pads.
6. Now remove the FOUR carriage bolts and then you can remove the Bumper.
I hope this helps.

I guess if you had the Stillen roll pan, you could use those sensors.

I don't know where you got these instructions from but I have the tow hitch and didn't have to remove it to remove the bumper. I found that there are 6 mounting bolts, 3 on each side for removal of the bumper. Maybe they are not removing the two that sit in the slots but you would certainly at least have to loosen them to remove the bumper. I did not have to remove the step pads.
