Re: Air intakes

I have had it on for about a month now and really like it. Along with my Banks the increase in power is pretty damn cool. I don't know what the numbers are but it's more than before. Gas milage I haven't seen an increase yet just because I'm on it a little more just to hear it

It does have a slight whistle in the lower RPM's but I don't mind. Install was pretty straight forward. The only issue was peeling back the fender liner to get to the lower bolts but I had help and did it the right way.

The FramBoost and the AEM are the same intake. Fram makes the filter and AEM makes the intake. difference is in the color. AEM's intake tube is silver while FramBoost is a kind of gunmetal. Both the FramBoost and AEM are also a dry systems so you wont have any issue with MAS sensor that would with the others that run an oil filter.

Here is a link to there limited lifetime warranty:
http://www.framboost.com/images/lim_warranty.pdf

It's also designed to be consistent with vehicle manufacture's warranty-every system is in absolute compliance with the guidelines of the Magnuson Moss act.

Do a search and you'll find a lot of info on the install for both the AEM & FramBoost.

Re: Air intakes

Fram Boost is a rebadges AEM so they're both the same, depending on the price you find, it don't matter which you get.

Re: Air intakes

Fram/AEM rocks! The sound is amazing and the dry filter is nice too. Get it, you won't be disappointed!!

Re: Air intakes

How loud is the fram compared to others as far as the noise and trouble of installing.

Re: Air intakes

Hey guys I'm curious how you clean the dry filter? Or do you just replace it?

Re: Air intakes

I have a Fram Boost and I really like it. It works well with my Zoomer exhaust, although I can't say which one woke up the other. However, cleaning a Fram Boost filter is pretty simple. Here is a link to their site. http://www.framboost.com/

It comes with a cleaning kit, just follow the directions. I haven't cleaned mine yet, but it looks easy.

AEM has a short video clip of the whole cleaning process for their dry filters, at their online site.

I had the exhaust before my air intake and it was much more docile before. Once the CAI was added there was quite a bit of difference.
