Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

I realy like the look of the oem running boards over teh big solid clunky ones like Westin's but the dealer charge a fortune. Any ideas where a good place to go would be. Also looking for nice seat covers that fit like custom made. Thanks for the help. Marc B.

Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

i think you can get new seat covers for the titan from the dealer... $100 per side? our seat upholstry comes off like a cover so maybe get some new ones to replace your when they get worn... just a thought dont even know if you can get them but i thought i read somewhere you could...
as for running boards, dealer does charge a fortune but they look the best to me... i thought westin was ok but sat too far out with space between tube and body....

Custom made can be a good thing. Yeah it costs more, but you'l love the final product.

Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

If you search on ebay for "Nissan Titan step" it pulls up a bunch of stuff. I don't know if any of it is any good or not.

Lightbulb Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

I bought OEM Running Boards and Bed Rails.

1. Unique color & texture, most After Market is chrome or gloss black, common.
2. The list price very close to PE* BOYS once you remember to add the $100 bracket kit for true total price.
3. My dealer Parts Mgr informed me I get 20% off for items bought first month of purchasing Titan. Blows away After Market prices. I've been to the parts dept. quite a bit!

Running Boards, Bed Rails, Fog Lights, First Aid Kit, 4 Panel Fog Light Switches (from the Frontier), Bottom Util-Trac Rails and 4 cleats, Radio Remote Control for Steering Wheel, Mud Flaps, Rubber Mats, 12 Volt outlet for Bed, what's left???

Go to www.costco.com and look at the Cover King custom seatcovers. It's worth joining Costco if you're not already a member.

Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

I got some stainless steps from Ebay. Can't remember where I got them, but 129 bucks and they look great! I have had them for over a year and they still look new. Installed without a problem.

Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

Those coverkings are nice but they aren't perfect...
I had a seatbelt hole placed where there wasn't a belt anchor and had to get creative with the belt itslef on one of the rear seats.
The armrests don't go up as nicely as they did before when you have both the arm rest and seat back covered.

But I will say that in the last couple weeks of heat we had here (high 90's and close to 100% humidity), the seat covers worked just as advertised. Weren't hot and didn't make me sweat.

The best part is that when you buy them from Costco, you are essentially borrowing them! They will take anything back at anytime (yes, for life pretty much). If it rips at any time, they will refund you money with receipt (or about 6 year back without - that's how long they hold the info in the computer)

Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

I always liked these.

http://wetokole.net/Merchant2/mercha...roduct_Count=4

I think they are the best, I wonder how the costco ones compare to these specialy designed and customizable for the titan. My Friend has a set and I have been meaning to get a set for a long long time but keep putting it off.

Re: Seat covers and running boards. Which are the best?

I got samples from both coverking and wet okole and found that the coverking was a little thinner in the neopreme but that isn't always a bad thing...I had armrest issues with the thinner, what would happen with the thicker?

I have sceen the wet oaklies and I believe they are designed specificaly for the titan's seat are the coverking's designed for the titan? I would not care much about a slightly thinner material if they look decent
