Nissan OEM Hard Tonneau Cover for Titan now available
Greetings,
Just saw the new hard tonneau cover on an unsold Titan crew cab at the Nissan dealer in Gulfport, Miss. It's very similar to the hard bed cover on the Frontier Nismo I saw there a year ago, but the Titan cover has three main segments instead of the Frontier's two. It was installed on truck WITHOUT the utilitrack system. However, the Build Your Own Nissan Web tool allows one to choose the hard cover with the Utilitrack system and all of its main accessories, However you MUST order carpet mats and MUST NOT order splash guards with the hard cover (go figure).
If anyone else has it I would be interested in what you think about it, particularly whether it interferes with the Utilitrack system and ESPECIALLY whether it's possible for one person to take off and put it back on when cargo height exceeds the bed rails.
Re: Nissan OEM Hard Tonneau Cover for Titan now available
The hard tonneau cover is a factory option, just like the bed extender and the cargo divider and appears on the factory window sticker. It is NOT a dealer add-on like undercoating or fabric protection or pinstripes.
Like I said, it's the last option on the Build Your Nissan applet on the Web site.
If you want it, you cannot get splash guards and you must get carpet mats. You can order it with the Utilitrack, although the one I saw didn't have Utilitrack.
The list price for the crew cab, the version I saw, was $1260. I didn't see one on a King Cab, which has a longer bed.

This is what I found on Nissan's Build Your Own Titan site.
For the SE, if you get the Hard Cover...
You HAVE TO get these items--Floor mats($120), Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror($200), Underseat Storage Bin($150) and SAT Radio($350)
You have the option to get the Pwr Split Bench seat.
You CAN NOT get any of the following if you get this hard cover--
Texas Titan Pkg, Popular w/Split Bench, Popular w/Pwr Bucket seats, RF w/ Pwr Bucket seats, Trac Pkg, OR, BT, Side Airbags, Utility Bed Pkg and/or Accessories, Texas Titan High Utility Bed Pkd, Splash Guards, Bedliner and Non-Sliding Bed Extender.
So the Cover, including HAVE TO get items, costs you $2080 and loss of availability of almost every optional package.
Makes my $1050 price tag for my cover seem like a bargain.
Tech12Volt Enclosure, TechTubes Polished SS Step Rails, OEM Fog Lights, OEM Bug Deflector, ARE LSII Hard Tonneau Cover, Black Stubby Antenna, Volant CAI,
JDM 6000K HID Lows & Fogs, SilverStar Halogen High-beams, LED Third Brake Light, Red Billet Aluminum Oil Cap, Red Active Tuning Grounding Kit, Body Colored Front Spoiler,

That is true if you select the King Cab option. Most of those have tos and can nots do not seem to apply if you select the Crew Cab option.
Many of the restrictions, such as the dimming mirror or the underseat storage bin, obviously have no bearing on whether such a hard cover purchased through the parts department by those of us who already have Titans would work with our trucks.
However, most of the Utilitrack accessories such as the sliding bed divider seem to be ruled out on both the King and Crew cabs, which leads to the question of whether the hard tonneau cover somehow interferes with their use. That's why I'd like to find someone who actually has one who could give a definitive answer for us.
