Angry Leveling Kit Help???

I bought a Top Gunz leveling kit from a member on here and was attempting to install it today, I got as far as trying to release the ball joint from the spindle with no luck, on the instuctions from Greg it says lightly tap the spindle and the ball joint should release, however I had no luck with this, can anyone lend a helping hand on what I should try and do to get this to release?

Re: Leveling Kit Help???

hit it harder!! LOL. Make sure that you have the lower control arm supported by a second set of jackstands and make sure that you leave the ball-joint nut threaded on the end. when it the tapered part of the ball joint comes free from the spindle you don't wan't everything to go nuts. then use a 3-8 lb mini-sledge or dead-blow. Take horizontal-whacks at the top of the spindle striking at each side including the backside if you can. The shock of the hammer-blows will free it up. Just avoid a pickle fork or you will most definitely destroy the grease boot on the balljoint.
