Step rail question.

I installed OEM step reails today and torqued the nuts and bolts to the said specifications in the directions. I am a little concerned because the torque settings seem not tight enough to me. It was 24nm on the bolts and 14 on the nuts and (both for the brackets) and to secure the step rails to the brackets it was also 14nm. Has anyone had any problems with theirs vibrating loose or anything? Thanks for it input

Re: Step rail question.

I bought used OEM steprails and when I put them on, I just cranked them down as tight as I could and they're fine.

Re: Step rail question.

I Torqued to spec, felt fine for size of bolt and material involved. Only been on a week. I do mechanical work/machining etc and was comfortable with it.
Wish the Best

Re: Step rail question.

Got mine from the dealer as an add-on, to the deal. I installed them 8 months ago to spec and have had no problems. You will be fine.
